Precision Layout Controls

A number of options are available within the Cross Section Editor to assist with precision layout. These options can be displayed using the command CTRL + SHIFT + RESET.

Grid Show

This setting determines whether the reference grid is displayed. This setting may be toggled using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + G. The default for this setting is visible. When the grid is visible, the number of snap points within the grid may be changed in increments of two by use of CTRL + SHIFT + Mouse wheel.

Grid Lock

This setting determines whether features within the Cross Section must align with the snap points of the grid. This setting may be toggled using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + L. The default for this setting is locked.

Note: Note that Grid Show and Grid Lock are independent. The grid does not have to be visible to be locked.

Axis Lock

This setting determines whether features within the Cross Section may only be moved in the direction of the X or Y axis. This setting may be toggled using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + A. The default for this setting is unlocked.

Ruler Show

This setting determines whether the rulers are displayed. This setting may be toggled using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + R. The default for this setting is visible. The Rulers always display on the top and left sides. The origin for the ruler grid is always the lower left.
